This week representatives from ROB will be travelling to Tanzania to hold a special guide training conference with our partners College of African Wildlife Management at Mweka and Exodus Travels.
We are delighted to welcome our Special Guest Mr Rich Mwanri, the Tanzanian Director of Tourism to hear about the latest developments and challenges for guides working on Kilimanjaro. We will be celebrating the success of our previous awardees, especially our Mountain Lioness Programme and welcoming local employers and local government representatives to discuss how we continue our work in the future.
After the event, 3 members of the ROB team will be climbing Mount Meru with 2 of our Mountain Lionesses guiding us, Wadia and Lightness.
