Claudia Felisian Mrema

My name is Claudia Felisian Mrema, and I am a 22 year old.

I began my journey in the Tourism industry in 2023, where I worked as a porter for one year and six months. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the demands and beauty of the mountains sparking my interest for guiding others.

Growing up, I always admired the courage and knowledge of mountain guides, and my time as a porter only deepened my desire to join their ranks. However, the path to becoming a guide is not without its challenges, both physically and financially. It is with immense gratitude that I acknowledge the pivotal role the scholarship has played in my life. This scholarship represents more than just financial support, it is a beacon of hope that alleviates the burden and pain associated with pursuing my dreams.

Thanks to this generous opportunity, I am now on the verge of transitioning into the role of a mountain tour guide, a position I have long aspired to achieve. As I embark on this new chapter, I carry with me deep appreciation for ROB's and Exodus' kindness and vision. I am committed to making the most of this opportunity, not only for myself but also to honor the trust that has been placed in me.

Eunice Joseph Kileo

My name is Eunice Joseph, 27 year old, a female mountain Guide.

I am a proud ROB awardee. I've been working on the mountain for two years now and it has always been an honor and privilege working with clients to achieve their goal of trekking to the roof of Africa.

Studying the Mountain Guide course is an honor and as it has provided an elevator to a happy and engaging platform in my career. Being a mountain Guide is far more interesting than being a porter. Different responsibilities, perspective, and even expectations. I am so grateful.

I promise to honour your generosity by dedicating myself wholeheartedly to my studies and by striving to make a positive impact in my country and the world in general.

My full name is MORGAN AMOS KITUA andI hail from ARUSHA region. I was born and raised over there. Currently, I dwell at Sinoni street with my  three siblings:  two sisters and one brother. Actually my age is not over the hill. I’m turning twenty five  next  year(25). My future aspiration  is to be a professional tour guide.

The reason why I want be a tourist guide is to educate visitors about the local environment, ecosystems, and the importance of conservation. By sharing  my knowledge about the impact of human activities on nature,  I want to help travellers to  understand the significance of protecting natural resources. I needed to educate tourists about the cultural significance of certain natural sites and the traditional ecological knowledge of indigenous communities.
