Celebrating Kilimanjaro’s New Mountain Lioness Female Guides

Empowering Women to Lead the Way on Kilimanjaro

In 2020, together with Exodus Travel Foundation we pledged to sponsor 30 women to train and qualify as female guides on Mt. Kilimanjaro. Thanks to the support of people like you, we’re proud to announce that the final two women have completed their training.

This year, we celebrate Claudia Mrema and Eunice Joseph, who are using the Mountain Lioness Scholarship to transition from porters to guides. Inspired by Lucia "Lioness" Kivoi, this programme equips women with the skills needed to secure stable incomes and brighter futures.
